Here’s another way to get your child to practice more frequently – start a YouTube channel for them and have him/her upload their practice sessions or recital pieces;)

I know there are parents out there that sometimes feel like giving up music lessons for their children due to their busy lives or other reasons…I want to thank my parents for not giving up on me when I was the one that really wanted to quit during my middle school years…I know being a parent and having to tell your kids to practice is tedious at times but in the end, it’ll all be worth it! Trust me! Thus far, I never met an adult that said I’m so glad my parents made me quit piano/violin. Instead I always hear ‘How I wish I could have learned piano/violin when I was a kid’

Just came back from a weekend church retreat at Boulder Creek’s Redwood Christian Park. Austin and I had a bit of a free time on Saturday afternoon and praised our Heavenly Father in the woods with this Amazing Grace duet arranged by William Starr:
