在聖誕節前的這幾天，我們一家人懷著滿滿的感恩，走進田中，與孩子們一起度過了一個溫暖、快樂、難忘的聖誕交流日 ❤️
孩子們純真的笑容、真誠的互動，讓這一天充滿了愛與祝福。

這樣的時刻，也讓我想起過去在美國，帶著學生們在圖書館、公園一次又一次的公開演出。音樂把人們連結在一起，分享的不只是旋律，更是關懷、陪伴與希望。

走到今天，我們除了感恩，真的還是只有感恩 🙏
感恩每一個相遇、每一份信任，也感恩能在這樣的節日裡，用愛與音樂彼此祝福。願這份溫暖在每個孩子心中持續發芽，陪伴他們成長。

In the days leading up to Christmas, our family spent a truly warm, joyful, and unforgettable day with the children in Tianzhong, filled with hearts of gratitude ❤️
The children’s pure smiles and sincere interactions made the day overflow with love and blessing.

This experience also reminded me of the many times I led my students in public performances at libraries and parks in the United States. Music has a beautiful way of connecting people—it shares not only melodies, but also care, companionship, and hope.

As we reflect on this journey, there is nothing left but gratitude 🙏
Grateful for every encounter, every trust placed in us, and for the opportunity to share love and music during this special season. May this warmth continue to grow in each child’s heart and accompany them as they grow.

Congratulations to my online California students for getting accepted to the CODA Honor Symphony Orchestra and CODA Junior High School All-State Concert Orchestra.

I want to also applaud my online student from Eswatini for working diligently with his mom on his left hand technique.

To all my students and those currently learning an instrument: Practice is a gift you give yourself. With consistent effort, your tone, confidence, and joy in music will blossom.

It’s been a while since I last updated this site, but my heart is so full that I had to share. For the past five years, I’ve been teaching my California students over Zoom, and recently we came together in person to give a concert at the Belmont Senior Center. It was such a joy to see their growth, to make music side by side, and to share it with the community. Here’s a little recap of that special day’s concert.

Thank you to Dougherty Station Library for inviting my students to perform again for the 4th year. Happy Holidays from San Ramon, CA! I’m super proud my students have continued this tradition even without me in California 🙏🎄🎻

This summer we sent our son to college and it’s the very first time he did not attend my student recital. I can feel not only was I missing him, but my studio families were missing him too.

Students worked very hard to prepare for this concert as well as my student’s graduation concert the day after. Thank you all for your love for music and I hope you will continue to share this love with your family and your community.

My son told me he’s extremely thankful music has been a part of his life and he’s able to share his love for music with the midshipmen at the naval academy. He also thanked me for taking him to many Suzuki institutes during his childhood where he developed his love and appreciation for music. I am eternally grateful to the Suzuki community and the dedicated teachers that continue to find creative ways to make music a long lasting part of every child’s life.

Another beautiful and dry day in Taipei! We were able to play at CKS again. We tried to close our eyes while playing scales together; breathing and listening to each note we played in unison. We also listened to each other’s solos to see what everyone has been working on:) Enjoy these pics and video from today’s lesson♥️

It is very rare to have beautiful, mild(not humid) weather in Taipei. On February 18, 2023, I took advantage of the perfect weather and held our first outdoor group lesson for my Suzuki Bk 1-2 students under perfect spring weather conditions:) We performed in front of many strangers ranging from babies to senior citizens. We even played May Song for the fish in the pond!! We received lots of applause from the audience and they even wanted to take a picture with us:) I wish I could have weekly group lessons, but Taipei kids seem to be more busy on weekends than during school days:) I will make the best out of these monthly group lessons with my students ♥️🎻

My high school students along with some of their friends formed a group called Le Plank during the pandemic and have since raised money to help animals at Oakland Zoo and performed in the community. They recently started their website to document all the events they have attended last year and hope this group can inspire young children to love music as well as spread their love for music in the community.
