I hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving with family and friends. I’m so thankful for all the families I’ve gotten to know over the 20+ years that I’ve taught violin. After an eventful summer of traveling in Asia, I’m now back in my studio starting another exciting year of private and group lessons along with performances in the community!! It’s really important to prepare the beginner student well by focusing on the posture and tone quality before rushing into more advanced pieces.

My 2 year 10 months old daughter has decided she wants to learn how to play violin now and I casually introduced her to the “rest position” and “play position”.
