Congratulations to Michael!!

January 15, 2018

It was only 3.5 years ago Michael began lessons with me starting with the twinkles. 3 months ago, Michael was determined to audition for the primary division of the 2018 Young Artist String Competition. At that time he had just finished the last piece in Suzuki book 4 as we decided to give Accolay Concerto no.1 a shot. After just 2 months of studying the concerto(including holiday break), he went for the preliminary audition and was so happy when he heard he was one of the finalists:) Here is the video of Michael performing this piece after he was accepted as a finalist for the competition.

Today he received 2nd place in his division and I am one proud teacher๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐ŸŽป๐ŸŽป

It’s really important to prepare the beginner student well by focusing on the posture and tone quality before rushing into more advanced pieces.

Thanks for stopping by!!:))
